Daily Puzzle #004 - Solution

Keep in mind that many puzzles have more than one correct solution.

Spells can ultimately be used in a different order and get the same result.

As long as your solution follows the spell rules, uses all of the given spells, and creates the correct ending word, your solution is correct even if it doesn’t match the printed solution exactly.

End word: Whale opening from strike (BLOW) and cavity (HOLE) - BLOWHOLE

Looking at the available letter spells, we have two Echo, one Possess, and one Summon. There are no Banish spells this time, so we will need to use all the letters of WHALE to create BLOWHOLE. We can keep the W, H, L, and E since they are all common letters, and we will first use the Possess spell to change the A to B. 

We need two L’s, so we can use one Echo spell on the L. We also need two O’s. This means we can use Summon to add an O at the end, then use the other Echo spell on the O. This leaves us with WHBLLEOO.

Now let’s look at our movement spells: Mirror, Swap, and two Teleport spells. We notice that the B is near the middle of the word and the W is at the beginning, so this is most likely where we will use the Mirror spell. Let’s set it up:

If we use our Swap spell first to swap the H with the first L, we get

WLBHLEOO. Then, we can teleport the first O between the W and L, and teleport the second O between the H and L, to give us WOLBHOLE.

The last step is to use the Mirror spell on the WOLB to reverse it and create

the End word.
