Daily Puzzle #006 - Solution

Keep in mind that many puzzles have more than one correct solution.

Spells can ultimately be used in a different order and get the same result.

As long as your solution follows the spell rules, uses all of the given spells, and creates the correct ending word, your solution is correct even if it doesn’t match the printed solution exactly.

End word: A garment from hits wildy (anagram of HITS) with right ( R ) - SHIRT

Comparing the two words

we can see that the only common letter is T. We only have 4 banish spells, so we need to find one other letter from BUTTON we can use for SHIRT. The other T can be changed into an S, so we first use the Banish spells on the B, U, O, and N. Then, we use one Possess spell to change the first T into an S, giving us ST. We still need the H, I, and R.

We notice that we only have one Summon spell, so we need to use an Echo spell on the S, then use Possess to change the second S into an R.

We now have SRT.

The only spells we have left are Echo, Possess, Summon, and Teleport. 

We can now use the Summon spell to Summon the H. (SRTH) This will allow us to Echo the H, and use Possess to change the second H into an I. 

However, we only have ONE Teleport spell, so we can’t teleport both the H and the I to the correct positions if they are both at the end of the word.

Instead, we need to use the Teleport spell to move the H to the position between the S and R (SHRT). Then we can Echo the H (SHHRT), and Possess the H with an I (SHIRT).
