Daily Puzzle #009 - Solution

Keep in mind that many puzzles have more than one correct solution.

Spells can ultimately be used in a different order and get the same result.

As long as your solution follows the spell rules, uses all of the given spells, and creates the correct ending word, your solution is correct even if it doesn’t match the printed solution exactly.

 End clue: Fight from broken tablet (anagram of tablet) - BATTLE

Looking at our available spells, we see 3 Banish spells. Comparing the two words, SHIELD and BATTLE, we see that they have E and L in common, and we can use one Possess spell to change the S to T. This means we start by banishing H, I, and D. We then use Posses to change the S to T, giving us TEL. We still need B, A, and T, and the spells we have left are

one Summon, one Possess, and two Echo. Before we continue, we should check our movement spells.

Checking our movement spells, we have one Teleport and one Mirror. Since the EL are backwards and should be at the end of the word, we will have to use the Mirror spell on the entire word. This means we should use our Teleport spell on the T to get it into position. We need to do this before we use Echo on it to get the TT in the middle of the word - ELTT.

Now we can Summon the A because it goes next. Then Echo the A, and use Possess on the second A to create the B. - ELTTAB

Finally, use the Mirror spell to reverse the word.
