Daily Puzzle #034 - Solution

Keep in mind that many puzzles have more than one correct solution.

Spells can ultimately be used in a different order and get the same result.

As long as your solution follows the spell rules, uses all of the given spells, and creates the correct ending word, your solution is correct even if it doesn’t match the printed solution exactly.

End word: Cook discovered with muCH EFfort - CHEF

In this puzzle, the Start and End words do not have any letters in common. We have 4 Banish spells, so we need to remove four letters from APRON, and only keep one letter to use in CHEF. The only letters that are close are A and C, so we will Banish the P, R, O, and N, leaving us with A.

Then we can use a Posses spell to change A to B, then another one to change B to C. This leaves us with 2 Summon spells, 1 Echo spell, and 1 Possess spell.

Two important things to note: this puzzle has NO movement spells, so all letters need to be created in their correct positions, and CHEF has no double letters, so Echo and Possess will be used together to create a letter.

Currently we only have a C, so let’s summon the H (CH). Next, we can Summon the E (CHE).

This leaves only the Echo and Possess spells, so Echo the E (CHEE) and use Possess on the second E to change it to an F, and you get CHEF.
