Daily Puzzle #035 - Solution

Keep in mind that many puzzles have more than one correct solution.

Spells can ultimately be used in a different order and get the same result.

As long as your solution follows the spell rules, uses all of the given spells, and creates the correct ending word, your solution is correct even if it doesn’t match the printed solution exactly.

End word: One with a book, REARED differently (anagram) - READER

Comparing the words in this puzzle

we can see that there are no common letters. We have 3 Banish spells, so we will only be using one letter from BOOK. The closest match we have is B to A, so let’s Banish the O, O, and K. Then we can use Possess to change the B to A, and we have A.

We still need R, E, D, E, R, and we have 3 Echo spells, 1 Possess spell, and 2 Summon spells. We only have two double letters (R and E), so the third Echo spell will be used with the Possess spell to get a letter we need. This will have to be E/D.

First, Summon an E (AE), Echo the E (AEE), and Echo the E again (AEEE). Then Summon an R (AEEER) and Echo the R (AEEERR). Since the D in READER is between the two Es, let’s use the Possess spell on the second E and change it to a D (AEDERR)

Looking at our movement spells, we see we have one Teleport spell and one Swap spell. 

First, use Teleport on the R to move it to the beginning of the word (RAEDER). Finally, use the Swap spell on the A and E to get READER.
